Brazzaville 2015 All Africa Games logoThe Games will take place in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in the City of Brazzaville from Thursday the 3rd to Saturday the 19th September 2015.

ABOUT THE GAMES: This edition marks the 50th Anniversary of the games, as well as the return to Brazzaville, which hosted the 1st edition in 1965. The 10th edition was held in Maputo, Mozambique in 2011. the 1st games were held in the Republic of Congo, Brazzaville under the auspices of the supreme Council for sport in Africa (SCSA). In 2014, the SCSA was dissolved and the African Union Sports Council was established (AUSC). This will be the 11th Africa Games edition.

Chef De Mission Peter Shongwe, will be attending the meeting on Tuesday the 24th February 2015, in Brazzaville, Congo. Matters for discussion will be amongst others The Technical Regulations of sport, Report of the organising committee, procedure of qualifying tournaments in team sports and final schedule of competitions of the 11th African Games 2015. The Chef De missions will also tour the venues and the games village.

Sports on the programme are; Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Beach Volleyball, Fencing, Cycling, Football, Gymnastics, Handball, Judo, Karate, Table Tennis, Sports for the disabled (Athletic & Swimming), Swimming, Taekwondo, Tennis, volleyball, Weightlifting, Wrestling and Bowling.
